Through their own telework program, The City of Calgary has realized the following results between November 2008 - December 2009 (306 calendar weekdays):

Total telework days logged: 3720
Total reduction in vehicle km travelled: 183,072 km
CO2 savings (kg): 41,772 kg
Reduction in pollutants (kg): 2928

Dr. Bob Schulz, from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary, was interviewed on CBC Radio One's The Homestretch about why companies should implement telework practices in their business continuity planning. This was in response to an interruption in downtown internet access.
